App Store description
Frightfolio is the notebook I always wanted for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando. It is an independent fan app, made by a fan who kept losing track of which houses he had done, how many times, and which ones were actually any good.
IN THE PARK, TONIGHT
Check in when you arrive, and log a run as you come out of each house, saved before anything else happens. Log the same house again and it counts again, because a second run is a different run.
Then an optional sheet asks for what you will have forgotten by morning: your rating, how frightening the run was, which line you used, how long you stood in it, tags and a note. Skip it and the run stays exactly as saved.
A Live Activity on your Lock Screen shows tonight's count, and it can log another run of the last house without you unlocking your phone.
On Apple Watch, check in, log each house, rate it with the Digital Crown and see the waits, even with your iPhone out of reach. Siri, Control Center and the Action button can log a run too.
While the season runs, each house page shows its wait right now, and a run can record what you actually waited.
If you like, Frightfolio reminds you to check in when you reach Universal Orlando on an event night. Your location stays on your phone.
WHAT IT KEEPS
One rating per house per season, 1 to 10 in halves, and each run keeps its own scare score.
A ranking of every season you went to, first to last. The app can draft one from your ratings, and nothing reaches your ladder until you say so.
Your nights. Every finished night prints a ticket, and the tickets line up on Home.
Your season. Add what the pass, Express and parking cost, and see what each night came to.
A passport, with a pin for every house you have been through and every season you have attended.
Share cards for your ranking, a night's ticket, Top rated and what your season cost, drawn in the app's own art.
Your whole history. Every Orlando season back to 1991, 35 seasons and 241 houses, each described in the app's own words. Add the houses you did years ago from memory, and fix any night later.
Search. Every house, scare zone, show, season and tag. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, ask in plain words, like scariest houses I haven't done.
Customise Home and Profile. Put their sections in your order and hide the rest.
Widgets and watch complications for season progress, your passport, tonight's count and the next night.
A backup of everything you have logged, as one file.
WHAT EVERYONE THINKS
Each house shows the average rating and scare score from everyone who has rated it, once 3 people have. Top rated lists the season's houses by rating or by scare. No average shows whose numbers are whose. A review shows its writer's rating.
With an account, review houses, zones and shows, post, react with any emoji and follow other fans. A profile shows someone's seasons, houses, favorite house and top five. Its stats never include a rating.
YOUR ACCOUNT, IF YOU WANT ONE
You do not need an account to log anything. Everything you log is kept on your phone. An account, with Apple or Google, gives your log a username and saves a copy of it where only you can read it, so it all comes back on a new phone. Your house ratings count in each house's average. Your profile shows a short summary of your log, with your picture and banner if you choose them, and a private profile shows it only to the followers you accept.
Frightfolio has no ads and no analytics software, and it does not track you. It is made by one fan and runs on tips.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Frightfolio is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Universal Destinations & Experiences or NBCUniversal. All the artwork and descriptions in the app are its own, and the pages they were researched from are listed inside it. House names and season dates appear as facts about the event. Live wait times come from Queue-Times.com, credited in the app as their terms ask.
